THE COURSE

Module: Dance Studies

Dance studies is the central module for all students. Classical ballet is studied by all as NBS believes in the importance of a strong classical technique and its benefits for other forms of dance.

A wide variety of other dance techniques and styles are studied, including Jazz, Contemporary, Tap and National and, as the course progresses, students specialise more in those areas of particular interest to them. Students are placed in subject groups appropriate to their levels of skill and ultimate objectives, with each group being assigned an individual tutor. This system allows for a continuity of training and a special focus on individual development.

With progression to the second and third years of the course, the balance of subjects followed alters with the increase in chosen specialisation.
