This course is designed
to provide the graduate with the ever-widening
range of dance performance and related skills
demanded by the industry and it incorporates
the National Diploma in Professional Dance,
which is validated by Trinity College, London.
Whilst all students study a range of dance
styles and genres throughout the three years
of the course, they are required at the
start of the second year to decide whether
to focus on classical ballet or jazz theatre
dance as their main subject for the rest
of their course.
A third focus option, for
those considering an early or later career
in the teaching of theatre dance, is to
continue the RAD and ISTD syllabus studies
undertaken in the first year, with the addition
of the ISTD Foundation in Dance Instruction
Examinations in Ballet, Modern Theatre and
Tap dance.
* A pre-determined number
of government funded Scholarships are available
to qualifying applicants from the UK and
EU countries. These Scholarships are awarded
strictly in order of merit, as determined
by NBS.
